I have recently been very busy with work and haven't been able to paint something in a long time, but I decided I'm just going to sit down for a couple hours a day and paint something again
I started of doing some mountainous scenery but ended up painting a boat and a campfire as I thought it added to a dark cold theme
I wanted to create a scene with a crashed ship and the feeling of survival
I tried to experiment a lot with a lot of different brushes and painting styles all mixed into one, I really like the way the clouds came out in this, and this is probably the biggest variety of cools, warms, lights and darks I have used so far
I want to keep practicing my art and improve so please feel free to leave a comment down if you have any critique for me!
I'm goin to start drawing and painting a lot more often then I was before, I forgot how much I enjoyed art and how relaxing it can be, not to mention I feel like I improve after every painting, that's a great feeling!
Hope you like this
Well I found out that my screen isn't properly calibrated, rechecked my colours and they looked like shi...
Had recalibrated my laptop's screen, and I found A LOT of mistakes and just some strange colours and lighting
I still probably don't have the correct colour setup but this is the best I can get out of this crappy TN panel laptop screen (probably still really bad calibration honestly lol)
Anyway after all the mistakes I made, I had to repaint half the picture, so... yeah, even more practice right? Lol...
Either way, I learned a lot, hopefully will be getting a new desktop with a good editting monitor soon
But either way, I have a lot more practice to do, need to get better! Lol.
